Spot on Padre spot on. From time to time we need to be reminded that the old is also good. I have heard so much said from within the Church and from without about “The bad old days”. Thank you Padre for your insights. God bless.
Thank you Father for your reflection on both readings.
We too often reverse the order of commands including in parish cells.
1st reading talks about wisdom and discernment, we are called to ponder/ discern word of God so as to know ways of God is right.
Thanks
Inspiring words. Thank you Father
Thank you For. Warner for the beautiful reflection, it struck me like an arrow. Very often I, too, reverse the order, infact at times I go to the extreme of using “Work is Worship” to justify missing the Holy Eucharist or the Sacraments. I do realize though that there is no substitute and God always should take precedence in all that we do. I am also reminded that when Jesus died on the cross, he also left a message which is so beautifully summarized in the readings – the vertical dimension signifying Love of God and the horizontal dimension signifying love of neighbour. Thank you Father for the wake-up call.
