I disagree, i think society is very much the same as it always was. The predators in systems of power, be they monarchies, organised religions, and broader homogenised thinking communities prey on the weak and powerless
Fear and precarity are design elements of power structures – to keep populations on edge so that they do not aim to change these power structures.
Not sure that the pursuit or devotion of an invisible deity supercedes doing actual good.
Rather an atheist who does good things than a follower of a god that doesn’t, no ?
YES GOD GIVES US OUR DAILY BREAD, IF WE PUT IN OUT 50% EFFORT. GOD SOMETIMES GIVES US WHAT WE WANT, BUT MOSTLY NOT. WANTS ARE GREED AND THE MORE ONE WANTS THE MORE THE CRAVE FOR MORE.
THE POOR HAVE A REASONABLE STRUGGLE WITH FAMILY LIFE DUE TO MONEY PROBLEMS…HOW TO MAKE ENDS MEET. THE RICH WORRY HOW TO MAKE MORE MONIES AND BUT ALSO HOW TO HOLD ON TO THEIR FAMILY THAT IS DISINTERGRATING BECAUSE OF THE EVILS OF MONEY.
REMEMBER: THE LORD GIVES AND THE LORD ALSO TAKES IT AWAY. BE THANKFUL.
